Heart Foundation funding for IPAN research projects

Two IPAN researchers have been awarded funding for their projects as part of a new $13.9 million Heart Foundation research funding package.

The Heart Foundation announced funding for Australian research projects investigating the causes, prevention and treatment of heart disease, stroke and related conditions.

Professor Kylie Hesketh received a four-year Future Leader Fellowship for her project, ‘Early childhood physical activity and sedentary behaviour interventions to optimise heart health trajectories’.

Dr Lewan Parker received a Vanguard grant for his project, ‘Antioxidant deficiency screening and personalised antioxidant prescription as an accessible and cost-effective treatment for cardiovascular dysfunction and insulin resistance’.
